|
- You have a right to be respected.
- You have a right to access quality information, advice,
counselling and support on a minimum of 48 weeks per year.
- You have a right to be safe within the project.
- You have a right to have any complaints dealt with properly
through a thorough complaints procedure.
- You have a right for information concerning you to remain
confidential within the project except under extreme circumstances.
- You have a right not to be alone in the building with
only one member of staff.
- Parents under 26 have a right to access the services with
their children.
- You have a right not to be hassled to buy alcohol or drugs.

Information and Advice
|
- You have a right to access information and advice any
afternoon between 1.30pm and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
- You have a right to be seen within half an hour of accessing
the Project during opening hours. Where necessary, an appointment
will be offered as soon as possible.
- You have a right to free use of our telephones for local
calls concerning issues such as housing, employment, health,
education.
- You have a right to use our computers for issues such
as employment, education, housing, welfare, etc. You have
a right to receive accurate and up to date information.

Counselling
|
- You have a right to know the counselling background and
experience of your counsellor.
- You have a right to in depth information about all aspects
of the counselling service offered.
- You have a right to choose the number of counselling sessions
you have in total.
- You have a right to change your counsellor if you wish.
- You have a right to request a male or female counsellor.
- You have a right to be given at least two months notice
of your counsellor finishing work at MAP.

|
- You have a responsibility to respect other young people
and staff.
- You have a responsibility not to behave in a way that
affects the quality of the work. This can include shouting,
running and play fighting.
- You have a responsibility to behave in a way that doesn't
threaten other young people or staff within the project.
Behaviour that makes others feel unsafe may lead to you
being asked to leave.
- You have a responsibility to respect confidentiality regarding
others in the project.
- Parents under 26 using the centre have a responsibility
to supervise their children at all times.
- You have a responsibility not to consume or sell alcohol
or illegal drugs within the project.

Information and Advice
|
- You have a responsibility not to use the centre
outside the opening hours unless by appointment.
- You have a responsibility not to use our telephones to
make personal calls unconnected with housing, education,
employment or health.
- You have a responsibility not to access chat rooms, or
materials on the internet that could be perceived as offensive
or inappropriate, and to respect staff decisions to this
effect.
- You have a responsibility not to access, or attempt to
access, other people's files.

Counselling
|
- You have a responsibility to keep to the times of appointment
agreed with your counsellor.
- You have a responsibility to inform us if you are unable
to make an appointment. Failure to do so may result in your
session being lost.
- You have a responsibility to inform us of any change in
address or telephone number.
- You have a responsibility to respect the boundaries of
the counselling relationship as discussed at the initial
session and with your counsellor.
